COVID-19 update: Student Centre closed for in-person enquiries

The University continues to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation to ensure the safety of our staff and students.

Now that classes have moved online for teaching, the Student Centre is providing expanded online support and is closed for in-person enquiries. You can still get in touch by phone or by making an online enquiry.

If you’ve submitted a photo for you student card and have been advised to pick it up, we’ll send your card out to your postal address instead. Make sure your address is up to date in Sydney Student.

The Student Centre can provide information and advice about a broad range of matters relating to your time at University. This includes course options and admissions, student cards, fees, enrolment, timetables, examinations, special consideration, study abroad and exchange, and graduation.

Following up on your enquiry

You will receive an email after important updates have been made to your request. We won't bother you with small updates, but it doesn’t mean we aren’t working hard to resolve your issue.

To check how your ticket is progressing log in to the University of Sydney Services Portal, select ‘My Tickets’ and then ‘View all tickets’. 

If you still require further information on your ticket, call the Student Centre and they can assist you further.

It’s important you don’t make a second ticket to ask about your existing enquiry, as this will slow down the process.

Enquiry response times

We aim to respond to your enquiries within the following timelines:

  • up to 5 business days during non-peak period for enquiries that do not need referring to a specialist team
  • up to 10 business days during peak periods (December to March)
  • an additional 10 business days when referred to a specialist team.

Cumberland campus and Conservatorium of Music students

From Monday 23 March, the Student Centre will transition to providing expanded online support. From Thursday 26 March we will be closed for in‑person enquiries, but you can still get in touch by phone or by making an online enquiry.
