Applying for Honours in Psychology

All applicants must complete the school application, and then all applicants (except Bachelor of Psychology Honours students) must also complete a University Application – more information about both applications can be found in the Honours Information Booklet for 2025 [PDF, 265KB] and a general overview of the Honours in Psychology program can be found in the slides from the Honours Information Session for 2025. A recording of the Honours information session webinar held on the 25th of September is available.

The School Application will be available mid-December 2025 and close Tuesday 6 January 2026 11:45pm for the 2026 intake.

When filling out the School application you will be asked to rank the potential thesis topics being offered by supervisors. A list of topics and supervisors (PDF, 145KB) is available.  After completing the School Application students should then complete the University Application if it is required (see the Honours Information Booklet for information and relevant links).

Due to the competitive nature of Honours in Psychology, all applicants will be ranked on their Honours Application Mark (HAM) – prospective students can get an idea of where they stand with our Honours Application Mark (HAM) Calculator [xlsx, 15KB].
