This October, Mental Health Month invites you to focus on “Taking Steps on Your Wellbeing Journey”. The theme encourages students to take practical, achievable actions to support your mental health and wellbeing. Progress isn’t always linear and setbacks are normal, but every step counts. By embracing this message, you can take small but meaningful steps to support your wellbeing and help create a supportive student community where everyone feels empowered to seek help and build resilience.

Mental Health Month also reminds us of the importance of maintaining good mental health in our daily lives, irrespective of whether we've experienced mental illness, and encourages a proactive approach to connecting with support services when necessary.

To celebrate Mental Health Month, we're hosting several wellbeing events and activities across our campuses to help you connect with your peers and University staff.

Read on to find out what's on during October, as well as how to access health and wellbeing support year round.
